I'll pass on the advice I got from Brett the first time I met him.
"Nine turns of 0.009 on a 0.025" mandrel."
If you use the dimensions of the Ivan Treger hub, it works pretty darn well. There will be 9 turns plus, with the arms being approximately at 12 and 4 o'clock. If you have a calibrated torque meter, try to set the spring to open at around 0.1 in-oz to start.
