Thanks to all who responded.

I tried at first and it was all loose. Here is what worked:

Precoated end with full strength Ambroid, let dry. Inserted thinned glue into hole via syringe, reactivated glue on tube, inserted and glued on top. Let dry in alignment jig for an hour or so and all is good. Seems nice and solid for motorstick #1. #2 is drying while I am at work. #3 and possibly #4 to be done tonight.
