VP prop mechanism question

Greetings.
In the plans that have been published, there is a bit of teflon tube at the end of the prop shaft holding the VP mechanism onto the shaft. I have always understood that this is stuck on with Ambroid/Duco/Sigment so it can be dissolved if necessary.

Over the weekend while steering, the teflon shifted, not enough to come off but it was loose. It caused the prop to get all wonky/wobbly. Nothing serious, but enough to make me question why.

What to others do to keep this critical joint from coming loose?
I would coat with glue, add teflon and put a large blob on the end to anchor it.

Regards.
