RE: Proposal to add High Altitude indoor records
I tend to think that this will just water down records. The EAA contest is in itself proof that contests don't need to be at record capable sites to get high attendance. The low turnout at most of the TTOMA contests is also proof of this, since the Dunwoody site could probably have its own record for the most current records in a given Cat I site. While I tend to think the Denver folks probably put on a very good contest, there are likely other issues which limit attendance such as scheduling conflicts, poor air, or obstacles. Mind you I say that without having been there! I would say though that if I traveled a good distance to fly at a site and the air was poor or there was strong drift, I'd be unlikely to travel there again.
