Group buy for Toray Ultra High Modulus Carbon 3K tow -- for carbon prop outlines

Greetings.

This fiber has been sold out at all carbon fiber suppliers for six months. Every one of them has no idea when they will get it back in stock.

As I have been learning how to mold the prop blades, I have gone through most of the fiber I had gotten previously.

I went back to the source company and spoke to the US Sales rep, a very nice Mr. Suzuki, who informed me that they do not supply carry the fiber tow in the US. I would have to order from Japan directly, with a 5kg. minimum order. The cost could buy me a cheap new car.

Mr. Suzuki was sympathetic to me and put me in touch with two companies that recently imported the tow, one a prepreger, one a weaver. The prepreger never responded to my inquiries. The weaver did.

We've been going back and forth and he is offering a minimum way under his normal 'minimum order'.

This is three yards of fabric, 19x19 weave, 42" wide at a total cost of $1000 plus shipping.

Another US flier (Kang Lee) and I are willing to put up the cash to purchase it as long as we can get enough interested buyers.
If my math is correct, $50 would get ~100 pieces 42" long plus ~35 or so 3 yards long. (That is a LOT of carbon!)

We would need at least 10 people interested.
