Hi Joe.
EAA passes out gliders for the kids to construct on Saturday.
At the end of the day, there is always a great pile that get tossed away due to breakage.
The challenge is to go grab these broken parts and assemble a working glider and fly it in the contest. You can only use parts from the garbage, hence "Garbage" glider.
The more competitive types pull out a ton of part over the day and weigh them all, pitching the heavy stuff again.
It is fun, but a bit frustrating if you are not a 'glider guy'. Mine never transition right. Maybe this year.
Regards.
