Info from H.G. (feel free to share wherever):
Hello fellow free-flighters!
Just a few weeks to go until the 2014 edition of EAA Family Flight Fest! We look forward to all of you coming to Oshkosh for some great indoor flying fun. In addition to the regular events we’ve flown in the past, we’re going to fly two additional mass launch events.
The first is the Paul Poberezny Memorial WW-II Profile Mass Launch, which we’ll do at the end of the Saturday airshow, roughly 1:30 pm.
As it turns out, March 1st, Saturday, is the anniversary of the birth of the Peanut Perfesser himself, the late Walt Mooney. So we’ll do a Peanut scale Mass Launch to commemorate his birthday on Saturday afternoon, probably about 3 pm or so.
To recap, we’ll be flying the following events at EAA Family Flight Fest:
Comet Zippy
Dime Scale
FAC Profile Scale
WW-II Profile Mass Launch
Garbage Glider
Catapult Glider
Hand Launched Glider
EZB
F1D
F1L
Limited Pennyplane
Mini-Stick
Double Whammy Mass Launch
Phantom Flash Mass Launch
Ross Flyer
If you’d not had a chance to RSVP to John Kagan, or made your reservations for the EAA Lodge, please do so as soon as possible. It’s important to have a pretty solid idea who is coming, since EAA’s maintenance department is kind enough to get us the number of tables we need, and having a fairly accurate count helps us avoid last-minute rushing about trying to find a table. Flight Fest uses every rectangular table EAA has in inventory! If you should find you discover at the last minute you can make it, please don’t hesitate to call us or drop us an e-mail.
Best Regards,
H.G. Frautschy and the EAA Flight Fest team
