Hi Brett.

I suspect that it forced innovation in design. We went from a 50 minute flight with 1 gram to 42 minute flight with 0.6 grams. Which represents a jump from 50 to 70 minutes if my math is correct. And this with less wing area! This is a substantial improvement overall.

I liked F1D the way it was. I like F1D the way it is now too though.

But like Jake, I'm pretty sure my reaction to 0.4 grams Rubber will not be positive initially. However we would adapt and maybe long for those 90cm models of yore and get over it eventually. And you will likely be pushing 30 minutes in short order with the changed rules and the rest of us will still be scrambling to keep up.

Regards.
