It may be that all of these scales are made by the same company or companies.
There were two problems with my Gemini scale compared to the ones marked Mini Digital Scale. The main one was that the buttons were almost flush with the case and had a very indefinite feel. The other was that the display was considerably smaller.
I said in a previous post that one of the two $12 10 gram scales I bought had quit working. When I tried it again yesterday it was working okay. I'm not sure what was wrong before.
I also bought another of the generic scales after dousing my original one with thinned Duco. After I freed up the buttons  it worked okay so the new one is just a backup.
I think it makes sense to have at least two of these scales on hand so you can compare the readings. That will give you a quick alert if one of them craps out.
I would never go back to a beam balance!
