If I were a beginner I would want above average kit as well. There is
nothing stopping a beginner from getting an above average kit to learn
with. I thnk the question is should that beginner be allowed to fly that
kit in a competition or be limited to using it only as a learning tool.
I would think the goal would be have them want to learn the skills and
want to know how to make the prefabricated parts that came in the above
average kit.
