The wag's non-proportional. It's controlled with two buttons, you wag the tail by pressing the buttons sequentially (L,R,L,R). To make it turn left you'd hold L a little longer than you hold R. Or so I understand.
I'd suggest using a tether. If the shark won't come back down you've got TWO things you need to retrieve!
