Pics in the photo section

9” high (should be ½” taller because the props are snug at the top, but at 9” the box just fits under airline seats – so you choose)
24 1/8” wide (can be ½” or so narrower because there is a bit of space on each side of the wing tips)
 9” deep + 2 x ¼” polycarbonate + 3/16” weather strip foam

7lb 1.2 oz ready to go with 4 planes, 8 props, and a model stand (equivalent size MDF box would be 47lb 5.8oz, or thereabouts)

½” Gatorboard on sides, top, and bottom glued with Gorilla Glue (1/2”? Yes. Are you sure? Yes. Really? Yes.)

¼” polycarbonate front and back (the plastic store told me that Lexan could shatter – this won’t)

Wood corner molding on the 4 edges between the sides and the top and bottom, glued with Gorilla Glue

3/16” Gatorboard sliding shelf on the inside bottom

Brass hinges (mounted on plywood plates on the bottom of the box, and on the inside of the polycarbonate door)

Weather strip gasket between Gatorboard and polycarbonate door

 Rubber screw-in feet

Leather handle mounted to plywood plate glued with Gorilla Glue

Brass 90 degree brackets glued and wrapped to basswood slide posts

 Basswood box shaped sliders

Basswood wing and stab holder posts, fit in wing and stab tubes (soft wire would probably be better)

Aluminum sleeve in a hole in the wood molding to hold the model stand

3M velcro style mounting strip for winding hook and torque meter

 Metal adhesive backed tape measure
