The missing piece that year at Kent (2011) was getting the motor broken in. I didn't wind hard enough, and my motors weren't broken in. So it was a bust until I wound my F1L motors hard, to about 0.55 in-oz, until I had success.

 It was late 2012 that I did these experiments and found the possibly missing piece of the puzzle.
