Here's the news we've all been waiting for. West Baden is on for next year. There were two choices for dates but the first one conflicted with the WC. We've locked up May 3 and 4, 2014 with an option for May 2.
The financial arrangement is the same as last year with the total cost being about $2800 for two days. Three days would be 50% more. We have to decide on whether to commit for May 2 within about a week from now.
Also they will give us the same room rate as last year - $149 per night. This is pretty low for a 5 star hotel. The people who stayed in the hotel last year seemed to be happy with the rooms and service.
At this point in time I have no idea when or whether we will need to make a deposit for the dates. We can nail down the details as things progress.
Please start making plans to attend. With this much advance notice I'm hoping we can improve on last year's participation. If we could get 30 participants the cost would be under $100 for 2 days or under $150 for three days.
Also it would be nice if someone else could do the CD duties next year. I'll volunteer to keep up with the finances again unless my $6 profit last year was too much!
