Some of us need to have the root end of the F1D prop spar rounded to fit in the tubes of our vp hubs. Ray Harlan, in INAV 105, shows a neat and easy to build tool for sanding wing posts round. Also, many fliers now use a jeweler's draw plate, inserting the balsa backwards into the sharp side of the plate and shaving off the corners to make a round shape. I sand first to a slightly oversize cylinder, the use the draw plate to get the final, desired size. One can also draw the balsa through successively smaller holes to get the correct size but this seems to compress light balsa as well has shaving it.
