I don't think SO Helicopters during the glider slots is an appropriate mix. Space will already be relatively tight for the glider guys. If we let the SO Helicopters fly on the weekend I think they should be during the duration slots.

What do other people think? Glider folk?

I am not a glider flier but I think that the SO helicopters, given that they go up and down and not very much around, would interfere little if any with the gliders, which have set flight patterns determined by the width of the flying area. This is especially so if the SO helicopters were kept to one side (east or west). The advantage is that you have two weekend days for SO helicopters just as for SO gliders and also you have more exposure to the LPP class (Pro/Am and regular) on the afternoons. In addition, the much heavier helicopters are kept away from the 1.2g planes on Friday afternoon and evening as these light planes will spend a great deal of time near the top all over the site given the usual drift to the east and west ends
