We had a nice day yesterday, other than random drafts which threatened to swat F1D's and everything else out of the air and into the walls. In the times of calm the air was pretty good, but not as warm as hoped for.

I watched Bill Gowen put up a bunch of really impressive F1M flights, a real treat since I have not seen one flown in person before. I learned a lot about why mine isn't well behaved. His best flight of the day when we left was 14 and change, just under the record. Warmer weather would probably improve that significantly. Bill definitely uses the slowest changing VP I've seen. It's an interesting flight profile...

There was a lot of F1D testing, and I finally had what I could really call a good F1D day--my worst flight was 23:00, and things improved from there, finishing with a 24:36. We *think* it could have been longer because I had to steer to get the model away from extremely bad turbulence, and this caused a very premature pitch change, scooting the model off to the ceiling where it banged around for about 8 minutes, giving me a real back ache...
