If my wife was not traveling over this weekend, she would have come to West Baden with me and we would have stayed at the West Baden Springs Hotel. The hotel is quite an experience. Given that I am on my own and need to do some other non-flying stuff that night, I am sleeping in my home bed an hour away.
There are other much less expensive motels in the area. For example, there is a Super 8 in Bedford, about 30 minutes away. There are several others in both Bedford and Jasper.
