Hi Tim san,
I have built 2 Hangar Rats, one is with a wood prop as per the plan and the
other is with a 6" plastic (shaved) prop.
In many cases the weight is quoted as without the rubber in indoor.
My wood prop Rat weighs about 5.1 grms and plastic prop one weighs about 6.6
grms. Both models are covered with light Japanese tissue.
I use 18-" long (=36" rubber before tying), one loop, about 1.6 grms rubber
for wood prop and 1.2 grms width rubber for plastic prop.
I think 2.5g rubber for 6.4g model may be too much and aroud 2 grms may be
better.
Wood prop model flies about 4 mins at cat2 (=8 to 15 meters ceiling) and the
best time might be 4:43.
Plastic one flies about 3:30.
Enjoy, Aki
