When I built my first old-rules F1Ds, Steve Brown commented that they looked too stiff. And he was right. My next set that were more appropriately flexible flew better.

Now, is it just because the first model was too heavy, and the new one was lighter? I dunno. But a model with a certain amount of aero-elasticity just looks right (this gets back to my "chicken sexer" theory)
