Kang,

I hope that you will use dyed film for an F1D. I never thought that it
would happen, and other serious F1D flyers may drum you out of the club
if you do. <Grin>

The problem with lightweight indoor film is getting it to take up enough
dye to show up well. My single attempt on Y2K film did not show much
color uptake. Tom Juell's methods are significantly better than mine and
he described his method recently in the Jan 2013 Free Flight Quarterly.
He uses a dyeing aid that I have not yet tried.

However I am sure that dyed film has been used for LPP, Pennyplane, F1M,
Mini-Stick, Autogiro, A-ROG, Federation ROG, Towline, Electric, Science
Olympiad-Capacitor (trial event by Markos), and Intermediate Stick.
Indoor Bostonian rules also permit film covering and I might be the only
person who has tried to take advantage of dyed film as a weight
reduction scheme for Indoor Bostonian.
