Yep, that reflects what I am supposing--that precoating is lighter than my present method. For 30" of .003" boron, I would expect 5-6 mg glue with syringe method. Thanks everyone. Think I see the direction to go, and may end up getting the Harlan do-dad, after my DIY instincts are defeated.
