John,

Beware that my attendance is still somewhat tentative. I've already had to give up Team Selection because of expenses and an upcoming move upon graduation this summer.

All this said, I would not be opposed to helping out with mass launches at least on Thursday. I'd really like to participate in the WWI ML (looks like the only FAC ML scheduled that day), but it might be worth missing out to have a real FAC mass launch there. Be warned that the FAC rules have become more stringent, so we need to distribute the Pilot's Pre-Launch Checklist and make clear that it will be followed. This would also apply to WWII, which I'm unsure whether we'll be around for since Hope and I have only planned for the first two days of USIC at the moment.

We might also want to consider adding another mass launch or two if there's a good chance of a good FAC crowd arriving. Mass launches don't take long if well organized, and you could put a combined Greve/Thompson on one day and have something like a Phantom Flash mass launch the other day (or maybe a Goodyear mass launch provided it isn't combined with Greve/Thompson).

Note that the following events can be flown as mass launches if the event announcement specifies it:
Golden Age Combined
Modern Civil
Modern Military
Low Wing Military Trainer
Phantom Flash

I don't have a huge preference on anything within this, only that the events be in compliance with FAC rules so that the winners can get the Kanones they deserve. I would like to participate in at least one of the events, though, because it has been a couple years since I've been able to participate in a legitimate FAC mass launch.

If I'm administering a PPLC for mass launches, I do request that the even fliers specify that participants MUST bring documentation for their airplanes, meaning a 3-view and photo/color plate.

Good flying,
Joshua Finn
