17.5 - 18" wide blade (2.5-2.6") has given me my best times in Racine, however a 19.25" (source decay outline) is a very close second. Conditions there are so variable that it is difficult to say which is best. I usually fly with ~0.053" TanII, turns between 1150 and 1300.

I've tried a variety of designs between 18 and 19.5" and am not really happy with what I've got even with a stiffened airframe. Best performance so far is 22:28 with an 18" wide blade prop and lots of ceiling banging.
