In terms of bracing material, I say, "Go for it." Use whatever you want. In addition, you may use boron, carbon, or anything you like to reinforce your motor stick.

Same goes for the tail boom.

I believe this will remove the requirement that only the best wood be used. You can use just enough wood to keep the stick and boom light, and you can strengthen it any way you like.

As for those who would prefer a rolled motor stick or boom, I also say, "Go for it." I think a solid motor stick will take much less time to build, but you can decide for yourself.

Now, don't ask for a built-up prop. Solid balsa props only -- and no VP!
