Combination of launching with lower torque than peak and adjusting the high pitch on the VP pitch to climb only very slowly.

I'd try a 17.5" prop with 2.5" chord, maybe even slightly wider. Maybe a 31" pitch block to start with.

Let's say a 0.053" wide TanII motor will safely take .55 in-oz of torque. You might want to start launching with .15, then .20 in-oz. Increase only by about 0.05 in-oz each time. It is best to only change one thing at a time and keep notes.

Make sure your CG is correct.
