Tan SS rubber is better than I expected

I thought I would post a public notice to anyone that's interested
regarding my recent experience with Tan SS rubber. I've been using 8/93
Tan II since it was released and almost all of my indoor experience is with
this rubber. My rubber supply was getting dangerously low so I decided to
buy some Tan SS to see how it compares.

I got a pound of 3/16" that was dated January 2012. After our first local
contest of the season yesterday I'm pretty confident in saying that it's
noticeably better than the 8/93 I have left. Perhaps some of this is due
to some degradation of the 8/93 after nearly 20 years. That said, I had an
EZB quarter motor flight of over 7 minutes that never exceeded 30 feet.
This new rubber has a much higher peak torque and held up extremely well
to abuse. I got my best flights on the 3rd and 4th winds of each motor.
