Mike and I were discussing a fixture for testing the long term effects of lube on rubber. If you maintain a loop of rubber at 3X extension, how long would it take to soften or break with lube on it versus without? The dowels at the end of the extended loop would be big enough not to concentrate strain there. Mike thought that 3/4 inch diameter might be sufficient. This wasn't to be a rig to test power.
