STP/Armor All as lube

IIRC, the instructions are to let these sit out in a glass container for a few days, then decant and use. Anything more to it than that?
Pour through a coffee filter maybe to filter out any dust/particles?

I may as well try one of these out - I did notice that many of the Bong Eagles members used one or the other.
