That's what I've been doing for years. But decided to try to match LC method/stats to see if I've been overbuilding in this area (with good wood I might rather use somewhere else.)

Are we talking about a .27 gram weight, and testing half spar at a time? I just did the above with a .026g/7.0" spar, weight hung at very end for only 4/16" deflection on Hobbyshopper gauge. This is typical result, so once again, wondering what I'm doing so different from published stats/results.
