Yes, I know that you can build your hubs and blades at half the weight
that I can. For some reason my similar hub components weight more than
your finished hub unassembled. The same thing with the blades; my
"conventional" blades weight 70 to 75mg uncovered, so compared to those
the new one is quite reasonable in weight. And it is the first one,
maybe there is room to squeeze some weight. For the conventional ones, I
have built lighter, and these twisted in an uncontrolled manner shaking
the whole model apart, so they were totally useless. That's why I'
prefer to err on the heavy side and build components that can be used,
then try to work towards lighter. Going the opposite way I tend to
produce showpieces that cannot be used for flying.
