You are choosing one phrase in the rule wording, out of context.

I'm arguing that, taken as a whole, the rule wording is already vague, and, taken as a whole, the new interpretation fits the wording at least as well as the previous interpretation.

"From the front of the model" together with "never from behind" can mean not pushing on the back of any part just as well as it can mean "somewhere arbitrarily forward of the wing, but still behind the prop."

It is not the best phrasing, but it is also not an abomination.

If the grand scheme of things, there are plenty of more important things to worry about, such as purchased VP hubs - IMO
