Now I realized that my ARI is larger than Fred’s.
Mine is : (size mm, thickness slightly varies)
Base, black : 255 x 130 x 3.3
Middle(2ea), beige : 255 x 18 to 43 x 2.95
Top, clear : 255 x 51 x 3.35
I will prefer slightly larger wideth, 280mm or so, for cutting larger ribs and many ribs.
Good flying, Aki

Subject: Re: [Indoor_Construction] Re: Rib slice tool
My previous photo posting might have been somewhat misleading. The green cutting mat was only in the photo to show scale and was not attached to the Jim Jones tool.
The baseplate of his tool is 6.0-in high by 8.0-in wide by 0.125-in thick.
The clear plate on the top layer (of 3 layers), but nearest the person, is 2.25-in * 8.0-in. The second layer has a fixed tapered clear plastic plate nearest the person.
The middle layer has a fixed scale nearest the person and a moveable scale adjacent and also under the clear plate. The fixed scale is 8-in long, ~1.63-in on the left, ~0.85-in on the right and is marked for 5.0 inches into 100 increments.
The slider part of the middle layer is 8-in long, ~0.85-in on the left side, and ~1.67-in on the right side. It has only a zero point marked in the center (4.0-in from either end).
There are 3 metal pins. Two hold the three plates together near the person. These plates are the base, the stationary scale, and the clear top plate.
The other other metal pin is the stop for the left edge of your rib template. It is about 3.35-in from the edge of the tool nearest the person and ~0.81 from the left edge. This is good, but for a left-handed person, moving this template stop pin to the right side would be preferred.
