This idea has a lot of merit. One principal reason being that over
the years the instructions in most of the kits have evolved into very
comprehensive and informative building aids. Most questions that
newcomers tend to ask are answered. The only problem I've found is in
getting the kids to read them - what else is new? A bonus is that
selected model years really fly well without much problem, three to
five minutes being quite doable by newcomers. I would think that
S.O. manufacturers might have some interest in providing models for a
class of this type that would be around for a long time without the
"yearly changes". I realize that these are basically LLP models but
the kids seem to be able to turn them out without too much problem
and fairly quickly. The real key I believe, lies in the directions;
it's all there in one package and the double kits are also a great
idea. As you all know, the first model ever attempted often leaves a
bit to be desired.
