OK, due to a unique set of circumstances, it might be possible to have a
pretty spectacular event. I need to know how many fliers would consider
attending, to see if it could be viable and worth developing.
Santa Catalina (the Island of Romance...) features a famous, historic, and
very large ballroom, with a clear ceiling.
Would you consider attending or competing if a 2-day indoor extravaganza
were held there?
My intention would be to offer all possible indoor events, the "serious"
ones as well as funfly stuff.
A group-rate on travel and accommodations would be available, as well as
suitable arrangements for transporting tools and model boxes from the dock
to the building.
The room is 150 feet across, with a 3-story+ ceiling. Not exactly
Lakehurst, but a pretty good site and certainly a unique opportunity. If
sufficient interest is present, I will move forward and see what can be
done. Comments and suggestions welcome.
