The file I was gonna send you last night shows a device which consists of a balanced 2 inch diameter disc which clamps to the torque meter hook and suspends a 1 ounce weight on one side. This should deliver a perfect 1 inch/ounce force to the meter. You could then subdivide the scale from zero to one. You co uld also substitute other weights to calibrate the meter at other points on the scale.

So I decided I’d like to calibrate my torque meter.

Which method is the preferred way? Mathematically or mechanically?
