Best question of the morning.

I think the only place you can go wrong with one is if there's friction in it, although there isn't much rotary movement in the armature so much as pressure changes. If you follow the HPA thread, various developers used various clever ideas to eliminate friction, from costly thrust bearings to suspending the back end of the armature from a thread so it wouild float in the front bearing.

I think that in the end, the sensitivity and readability of the digital trumps the Flinstone, which I freely admit has little or no friction in it.

But hey, I'm no pro.
