I have had a Polish rubber stripper for quite a few years now and it works very well. It is unfortunate that the way it was described to you gave the impression that it could not strip to less than 0.02 inches wide. The 0,02 dimension is the amount the rubber holder moves sideways for one full turn of the adjusting screw. If the adjusting screw is moved less than a full turn then the cut width will be different.
