Perpetual student of indoor here,

Would someone please tell me what the Dorcol Cup is, how it came to be and why, before the upcoming WC?

Thank you

2012 F1D World Championship Schedule

Belgrade, Serbia is on CEST (Central European Summer Time), which is GMT + 2:00.

For fans in the U.S., this means that Belgrade is 6 hours ahead of the east coast and 9 hours ahead of the west coast.

The first day of the 2012 World Championship is Friday, August 10, and the last day is Sunday, August 12. Before that, there are two days of practice, on Wednesday and Thursday. And before that, there is a warm-up contest, called the Dorcol Cup, taking place on Monday and Tuesday, August 6 and 7. The Dorcol Cup will give us a preview of what's to come. In 2008, the first three placers were the same in both contests.

Monday, Aug. 6: Day 1 of Dorcol Cup
Tuesday, Aug. 7: Day 2 of Dorcol Cup
Wednesday, Aug. 8: Practice Day
Thursday, Aug. 9: Practice Day
Friday, Aug. 10: Day 1, World Championship (rounds 1 & 2)
Saturday, Aug. 11: Day 2, World Championship (rounds 3 & 4)
Sunday, Aug. 12: Final Day, World Championship (round 5 & 6)
