I booked a room at the Ramada that's about 3 miles from the armory. The
web price was $70 plus tax. I got it thru hotwire.com for $41 plus tax.
The deal with Hotwire is that you don't know exactly which place you're
getting until you pay. They tell you the star rating and show the area
where the room is located.
The other drawback is that you can't specify the number of beds in the
room. That's a problem I'll deal with of it becomes necessary.
I've used it several times and have been happy with the results. In
Johnson City I've stayed at the Jamison Inn a couple of times for about
half of the usual rate.
