Just to show that it really can be done by anyone...
This is a composite of various phases of flight of my new 35 cm. Flew pretty much right off with no tweaks. It does tend to go to the right under high torque, but proper launch angle and calm air mitigates that most of the time. The complete VP (11" diameter) weighs 80 mg and is based on Aikman's design (with a couple elements from Bailey's). I don't have a final all up weight for the model, but it should be under 350 mg if I got all my numbers right. I think the VP could be built to 60 mg with better materials selection.

I'm pretty pleased with it...roughly 6 minutes on 550 turns of a quarter motor that has taken 750 turns is certainly encouraging.
