Kurt, Mike is also talking about maybe getting in down there for some
practice flying.

Hi Mike,

If you allow gliders to fly, I will do my best to attend. I have
flown there before, its a nice site to fly in.

Cheers,

Kurt

Fall

Greetings.

I have formally requested the Urbana Armory for a Saturday contest this
fall. Likely dates would be either:
10/06 or
10/13

These are days when the UofI football team is playing away.

Transparent stuff:
Cost of the rental is $500. I am personally guaranteeing that cost. My
hope is that I recover the cost. I will not make any profit on this
venture.

In the interests of getting folks to come in and fly in this pretty
amazing space, I'd like to set the price low and fly events that will
encourage people to come out. I especially would like to set the junior
prices low.

So I am soliciting suggestions on what to fly and costs.

I personally would like to see A6, LPP and F1D. Beyond that, it is wide
open. Gliders? Scale/FAC? A simple one design event for kids ala Blatter
40, Double Whammy or Denny Dart?

Regards.
Mike Kirda
