RE: Re: Bostonians and No-Cals
I love it Kang! Actually Dennis Tyson is doing exactly this, dabbling a bit
in outdoor with a P-30 ( IIRC).
But, don't bet on the indoor dudes winning. Because outdoor flying is
brimming with nuances...believe me. For one thing, there's no such thing as
'dead' air. And the lightest models rarely win...

This is what I'm thinking ... Instead of a survey, let's have a competition.
A few indoor competitive zealots should fly coupe and P30 against DeLoach
and his buddies. Forget the stupid maxes and thermal aided flights. We go
straight into early morning flyoffs. When the indoor guys clock the outdoor
guys, then will realize that it's not the difference in outdoor vs. indoor
rules but the difference in the outdoor vs. indoor flier/builder. Whatever
rules might be in P30 and Coupe to level the playing field, the indoor guys
will go the extra mile and squeeze that extra 1% out of their models.
This would be a lot of fun for those daring indoor fliers who would take up
this challenge.
