I missed most of the most dramatic moments, though. I didn't catch any of the final F1D flights, for example. I will next year (unless I'm in the hunt). On Friday, I was so busy that I didn't even get Larry's EZB flying. I saw it, though, and it flew beautifully.

For a good video camera, you need a good optical zoom. This is necessary for both in flight shots and close ups. Mine was top-end in 2008 with a 12X optical zoom and cost around $500 at that time. Others who have purchased one more recently please chime in.
