RE: Re: Thoughts from USIC
Bill regularly attends the local MMM indoor meets and holds several site
records. He's as good at indoor as ever. But the real answer <cue the angry,
torch-bearing mob> is since moving to Colorado Bill has been bitten by the
outdoor FF bug in a big way. He flies Coupe, P-30, Old Time Rubber, some AMA
and Nos gas, and lately E-36. We still call him "Beginner Bill"--a jest, of
course. Bill is one of the finest Free Flighters in our club, and we have
lots of good ones.

Bill's not a leper! It's Bill Leppard. Bill was one of my earliest mentors.
I remember driving to his house in Oxford, Mi when I was in high school for
tips on boron and VP hub construction. Unfortunately since he moved to
Colorado he hasn't been attending many contests.

I'm glad that Don S. is planning to return to USIC next year.
Steve Brown emailed me that he is kicking himself for not coming this year.
Some former attendees that we should persuade returning:
- Fred Tellier
- Vlad Vinardic
- Bill Carney
- Don DeLoach
- Bill Leper
- Steve Brown
- Don and Chuck S.
- Larry Mzik
- Buddenbohm
- Batiuk
- Buxton
- Alan Cohen
- Romash
- Emil
- Gary Hodson
- Slater family
How's that for a list? Who else?
I forgot earlier to mention that I missed Tom Iacobellis this year.

a little bit of history is added to the annals of indoor flying, and some
years there is more than others. Be there to witness and experience that new
history.
