USIC was a freeking great contest this year. The air was great after the
first day. There was no shortage of last minute launches of flights that
determined the overall outcome that were what Kagan described as "befitting
of the Nats." When Bill G. launched his last F1L flight at 9:59 pm, about
sixty stopwatches must have beeped. Plus, there were plenty of outtakes and
antics by fellow fliers (myself probably included) which undoubtedly
warranted storage in the vast vault that is Larry Loucka's mind--which
surely will be drudged up at future contests for whoever is willing to
listen.

I'm sure glad I could go this year and look forward to the contest next
year! I'm already eying my buddy who will most likely be the victim of
"bring a buddy to USIC."
