My son's A-6 came in under weight at about 1.1 grams. All the wood I had 
him use was SIG contest grade wood in the 4.5-5 pound density range. The 
prop spar was 6 pound and the blades were SIG 1/32" *which measured 
closer to .040" thick. The advantage we did had though was I have some 
of the light c-paper. The model design were are flying have  39% stabs 
so the total tissue is less than other model with big tails but looking 
at the notes when I built my A-6 the total Cpaper was  200mg of the 
model weight the heavier cpaper is about 1.7 times heavier so about 
340mg in weight which would mean you will be about 1.24gr without 
special indoor wood. So it is doable but not as easy.
