Ren and Steve, hold off two or three days until Shadow posts his build thread on HPA. I sent him all the parts that I use, including 3mm Lexan that I get from Aircraft Spruce instead of the .093 that Home Depot has. I also use a nice toggle switch from Mouser. It's a better unit than the Radio Shack switches that I originally used and the price is competitive because I buy 10 at a time. The only difference is that the kit has a 1/16 hook shaft, and the ones I make have 1/32, which is harder to fabricate.
Steve, until I started to put the package together for Ren, I didn't realize that I had no Bill of Materials. When you see Shadow's thread, you'll see why I never needed one. So I need to work on that for the plans builders. It may take a few days.
I'm working on being able to e-mail the whole deal, and I'll have that worked out in a couple of days. Between the material that I e-mail, and Shadow's presentation, you should be able to make a decision on whether you want to (A) buy a kit ($75), (B) buy a ready to go winder ($130), or (C) source your own parts and material.
Hang in,
Art.
