Kang,

I don't scare them off...I scare myself off...my Hobby Shopper (thanks
goodness for that article!) came in at .56 grams...the first real attempt at
EZB...but as I learned and added repair glues it became an F1l and now it's a
need for a new one. I broke a LOT of sticks getting that Coslick EZB
built too...fat fingers. I have an advantage in that A2Z is 10 minutes form
the house and can get that elusive .008 C grain without the shipping cost.

But alas...with my outdoor commitments, I only build for one or two indoor
contests a year . I know it's a transition each time, but there is a time
commitment too...plus a lot of other things going on. Gotta pick
something! But I mess up and pick everything...

Indoor is a blast, but I find myself building a month before the contests.
The I get to go and look at guys like you and Bill Gowen who do it as an
avocation. And I say to myself...wait until next time. But...I learn
something each time too so that month before is less painfull.

I am suggesting that there is a need to draw new bodies into the fold and
the prospect of seeing what it takes to be "in there" can be daunting, hence
my comment on a 1 gram EZB, which is probably where the founders wanted it
to be. Albeit if that's all you are doing at the time...devotion of time
wise...then all is well.

If success is achievable in the short term then long term success is more
desirable.

Rick,

Someone who's fairly new can start with a 1.2g F1L (EZB) or perhaps a
smaller, Hobby Shopper sized EZB of about .9 g. Don't be scaring people off
talking about 0.3g EZB's.

A 0.6g EZB is not "easy" but is easier than a sub-0.5g one. I hope the
interest is there.
