We have two Mylar balloons for the team that were donated by Ray Harlan. They are very nice, and work great in Slanic and Belgrade where the ceiling can burst latex balloons pretty easily.

However, latex balloons work fine in most of the other sites I fly. I rarely touch the ceiling with them, so that isn't a problem.

I consider the Mylar balloons to be special tools for the WC. They are probably more durable than the latex balloons, but they are certainly more expensive and harder to come by.
